Didn’t quite fit in the scanner; layout sketch for a fairly elaborate commission. The commissioner is trying to create a d20 role-playing system based around different martial arts and I’ve been hired to do….an intimidating amount of artwork for the potential project. More as the project progresses.
Commissioned MtG play-mat. It’s a gift from the commissioner to his friend; he didn’t know much about the game so I just went with a black/swamp theme since any deck will look good against a dark color scheme.
Sketch for a custom MtG mat I’m doing for some dude.
Someone gave me $20 and asked me to do a comic panel of a bunny and cat shooting pistols, so I did.
I kept my prices the same since I still take a pretty long time to do commissions (as explained here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/12063445/ among other things). Mostly it’s just new descriptions and artwork, a lot of the ones I choose are personal favorites from their own categories so if your commission made it, congratulations! Your idea was awesome and I think you’re cool! If you didn’t “make the cut”, who knows? Maybe your commission will show up in the inevitable “2013 Improvement Meme”! This will be on my table at MFF along with the Super-Scary-Rules card shown earlier along with comics, prints, charms, bandanas….well it’s a lot of stuff for just one dude.
I’m so excited!
(I’m not currently open for commissions, I will be open during the weekend of MFF and that is it until probably FWA)
Some badges I did tonight. My scanner’s not the greatest for traditional work but I swear these actually look pretty good.
I’m gonna be selling these at MFF! I’ve only got nine of each and I’m curious as to how they’ll sell. I’m hesitant to make merchandise for a comic that only has 53 pages (people who push “merch” for their comics or immediately create “fan art” pages etc… while they’re still just starting really bother me) but I thought the idea was cute and, worse comes to worse, I’ve got some hella cute charms for myself. Eventually I’ll design some charms of my own but, with the comic, commissions, and building the new lab at work I’ve been pretty busy!
The charm designs were derived from doirn's stellar repeating pattern, they're each about 2 inches tall and SURPRISINGLY sturdy (Meier's little sword we thought would break really easily and WOW IT SURE DOESN'T).
I drew out the process on this commission because I love stuff like this and never get it so I wanted to make it last. Zeke’s da best.
One choice you can make today is whether or not to read all 53 pages of my weird comic: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11929608
